# I only have one point per plot

> I only have one point per plot — Polygon One

For the single-point route described here, the plot must be **4 hectares or smaller**. Its actual area in hectares is also required.

1. Check that the point lies on the production plot and comes from a reliable source.
2. Enter latitude, longitude and actual hectares, or put those values into the import template.
3. Add producer, production country and period, plus species for wood.
4. Review and confirm the import.

A point without hectares is insufficient. For plots above 4 hectares, use their actual polygon boundary in this general workflow. Cattle have separate rules; clarify the specific request with your customer.

Do not artificially split a large plot or generate a circle around a point to bypass the polygon requirement. Obtain the actual boundaries when a point is insufficient. A valid point does not establish deforestation-free status or compliance.
