# I have a permit on paper or as a PDF

> I have a permit on paper or as a PDF — Polygon One

1. Scan every page legibly or use the original PDF.
2. In the geodata section, open the offered document/certificate option for extracting coordinates.
3. Upload the document there and wait for the result.
4. Compare each plot suggestion with the original: coordinates, country, producer, area, period and wood species.
5. Complete missing information and confirm the import only after this review.

AI can only extract information visibly present in the document. A permit without coordinates does not provide reliable geometry. A preview is not yet saved, and this process does not accept the permit as legal evidence.

If no usable suggestion appears, request original coordinates or a GeoJSON/table file from the issuer or producer. Also provide the document in the appropriate evidence section if requested. Do not invent missing boundary points.
