# EUDR: Provide an existing DDS

> EUDR: Provide an existing DDS — Polygon One

Use this route only for material actually covered by an existing due diligence statement (DDS).

1. Open the article's geodata section and expand additional options if necessary.
2. Choose the option for coverage by an existing DDS.
3. Enter the DDS reference number, verification number and covered quantity for each article.
4. For multiple statements, add each reference with its quantity and confirm the details.

Your upstream supplier provides both numbers. If either is missing or the quantity coverage is unclear, ask them. Do not invent numbers or plots.

A reference covers only the quantity genuinely associated with it. Any remaining quantity without a DDS still needs origin data. Your customer reviews the reference; entering it is not automatic acceptance or confirmation of compliance.

TRACES records DDS submissions; the existence of a reference does not validate the underlying compliance. Entering an upstream reference here does not submit a new DDS.
