# Answer a PPWR request

> Check the packaging requested, prepare your data and send a reviewed response.

Open the original invitation from your customer. You do not need a Polygon One account for this request. Keep the invitation private.

**1. Check what is requested**

Read the customer note, due date and request status. Open the requested items and check whether they are [packaging units or individual components](https://help.polygon-one.com/en/lieferanten/ppwr/verpackungseinheiten-und-komponenten.md). A due date tells you when the customer expects a reply; it does not confirm readiness.

**2. Prepare the response**

[Enter data, import a spreadsheet or use documents](https://help.polygon-one.com/en/lieferanten/ppwr/daten-bereitstellen.md). Work on the requested items. Confirm units, material, mass and the basis for any claims. Unknown values are not zero.

**3. Review and send**

Check the summary, documents and remaining gaps. Follow [review and submission](https://help.polygon-one.com/en/lieferanten/ppwr/pruefen-und-senden.md), including the security code if requested. Wait for the confirmation showing what was actually sent.

> **I need to stop and return later**
>
> Wait for the draft's saved confirmation before closing. Reopen the original invitation and check your entries. [Saving and resuming](https://help.polygon-one.com/en/lieferanten/speichern.md) explains which changes are stored and which still need an action.

> **An upstream supplier has the information**
>
> Before your first submission, use delegation when offered. Select the relevant items, enter the supplier's name and email, and review the delivery choice. Delegated items leave your list; the upstream supplier replies directly to your customer, who can see their identity. If a new sub-supplier link appears, send that link only to the intended supplier. If you selected email delivery, check whether it succeeded; a delegated status alone does not confirm delivery. Never forward your original invitation.

> **The request is empty, closed or asks for corrections**
>
> Check that you opened the correct invitation. Ask the requester about an empty or closed request. For corrections, read the highlighted fields and the customer's note, update the relevant values and send the new response. [Status and correction guidance](https://help.polygon-one.com/en/lieferanten/status.md) explains the distinction from a message alone.
