  1. Download the current Excel template from plot import. Its instructions sheet explains each column; a CSV template is also available.
  2. Use one row per plot. Provide either a WKT geometry or separate latitude and longitude columns.
  3. Add producer, country and production start/end; points also need actual hectares and wood needs species.
  4. Upload CSV, XLSX or XLS. Check detected columns and adjust column mapping if necessary.
  5. Review every problem row and confirm the import.
For Chinese headers such as 纬度 (latitude), 经度 (longitude) and 面积 (area), explicitly verify mapping. A recognised heading does not guarantee complete values. Use decimal degrees in WGS 84 and clear dates such as 2026-03-01. Do not change coordinates to bypass checks. If the table contains only addresses or place names, obtain the actual production coordinates. If the result is empty, check the worksheet and columns. If mapping is not possible, transfer the existing values to the template or request the source file.
