Use complete, legible documents for the requested articles or packaging. Documents support evidence review and risk mitigation. Uploading a certificate or completing a document list does not independently prove EUDR compliance.
  1. Open the document section. Use the shared drop zone if available; otherwise use the relevant category or component’s file field.
  2. Follow its displayed formats and size limits. PPWR accepts PDF, JPG and PNG up to 10 MB per file.
  3. Wait for the file’s result. Check the recognised document type, assignment and extracted values against the original.
  4. Correct inaccurate values and complete the form’s required save or submission steps.

Video (5:17, EUDR): answer the questionnaire, upload the documents behind it, and fix what is declined. The written steps on this page are authoritative.

In EUDR, the shared drop zone and automatic reading may depend on your customer’s configuration. Use the dedicated certificate section when offered. Plot files belong in the geodata import. “Type not recognised” means you need to select the document type. An upload or reading indicator confirms neither acceptance as evidence nor compliance. Extracted suggestions are not reliably saved form answers until confirmed. In PPWR, also check which unit or component the file applies to. Uploading a document does not replace missing component data. If rejected, read the reason, correct the source or provide an appropriate file. Repeatedly uploading the same unchanged file does not resolve the issue. If a file is unreadable, provide a clearer scan or the original digital document; do not treat an empty extraction as a positive result. For a duplicate, check the existing or restored file and its assignment before retrying. For an unrecognised type, choose the correct category when offered; contact your customer if none fits.
