Overview

Under Settings → Roles & Permissions, administrators define which role may perform which actions in Polygon One. Permissions are shown as a matrix: rows are the individual actions, columns are the roles. Use the checkboxes to grant or revoke a permission precisely.
This page is only visible to company administrators. The defaults match today’s behavior — so you don’t have to change anything as long as the defaults work for you.

Roles

RoleDescription
OwnerAlways has all permissions. This role cannot be restricted — its checkboxes are permanently enabled and grayed out.
AdminFully configurable.
MemberFully configurable — typically for operational work.
ViewerFully configurable — typically read-only access.
The Owner role always retains every permission and cannot be changed.

Permission Groups

The individual actions are organized into thematic groups:

Actions such as permanently delete are irreversible. Grant these permissions only to roles you fully authorize to use them.

Adjusting Permissions

Open the page

Navigate to Settings → Roles & Permissions.

Set the checkboxes

Enable or disable the checkboxes per action and role. Only deviations from the defaults are stored.

Save

Click “Save permissions”. The button is only active when there are unsaved changes. A confirmation appears after saving.
Existing sessions may need to reload the application before new restrictions take effect.
