In the final step of the EUDR compliance process, you link your compliance results to actual shipments. You import orders, create Due Diligence Statements (DDS), and submit them via EU TRACES. Polygon One clearly distinguishes between inbound DDS for purchasing and import cases and outbound DDS for domestic production as well as downstream traceability.
By creating and submitting DDS, you fulfil the requirements under Article 3 of the EUDR. The DDS reference number and verification number are required by customs when goods are imported into the EU — without a valid DDS, your goods cannot be cleared.
