In the final step of the EUDR compliance process, you link your compliance results to actual shipments. You import orders, create Due Diligence Statements (DDS), and submit them via EU TRACES. Polygon One clearly distinguishes between inbound DDS for purchasing and import cases and outbound DDS for domestic production as well as downstream traceability.
A DDS covers the condition in Article 3(c) of the EUDR. You may place relevant products on the market or export them only when they are also deforestation-free, produced in accordance with the relevant legislation of the country of production, and due diligence has been completed. For imports, customs requires the DDS reference and verification numbers.
